My health and fitness brought my confidence into a different light. This change even propelled me into the world of competitive bodybuilding where I’ve been blessed to win numerous titles and take the stage in some of the most prestigious events in the world, having won six NPC Master’s class titles including back-to-back awards at the prestigious Branch Warren Championships (’15 and ’16), the Central USA Championships (’17) and the Southern States Championships (’19). In May of 2019, I won the Open Bikini A title at the NPC Enchanted Isle Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2017 Muscle and Fitness magazine selected me as one of 1200 fitness-oriented women from around the world to compete for the title of 2017 Ms. Health and Fitness contest and I finished 10th overall. On top of that, I have been featured several times in print and magazine articles around the globe – my story is one beyond the horizon of my wildest imagination.
This grandma is a living proof that wellness and health can liberate and empower women of any age or status. Societal stereotyping of women, particularly mothers or grandmothers, is passe’, bygone and behind times. I REFUSE, REJECT AND OBJECT to any cultural pressure about how mature woman should look, or place limits upon her ability.
To women across the world – especially mature women, we hold the power and the potential to be what we want to be – to be confident, active, healthy, and yes, even as sexy as you want to be.
“Don’t let age define and limit your abilities, potential and even your dreams.”
